Description

Thanks to the help of PixInsight Guru "Pfile" I final made progress. This is the sequence of processing after getting the LRGB sub stacked:

1. Make RGB file

2. Histogram Tranform (HT) both the RGB and L to stretch both in the same manner (See Pixinsight 1&2 Tutorials)

3. Make LRGB file manipulating Lighness and Saturation to taste

4. Extract the L from the RGBL file

5. HT the L to darken the shadows (to make a mask of the L)

6. Use Atrous Wavelet Transform to get out the noise in the soon to be mask

7. Then turn on the mask to:

7a. HDRM Multitude Trabsform... enhace detail in image

7b. Curve the color

7c. Color Saturation

7d. Atrous Wavelet Transform

8. Inver the Mask (cover the object) then HT to darken the background.

I am putting this hear in case I ever forget what I did.... thanks to Pfile and PixInsight

I also see that I cannot do this with all galaxies, since they lack the color, i.e. the HockyStick on which I am using these techniques now.
